2020 February Kids Workshop

The Home Depot February Kid Workshop had a focus on Valentine's Day. A string art project with a red yarn heart was the craft project for the day!

The tiny builders were focused, they pounded 16 small nails into the designated spots, not an easy task but with determination and a little help and supervision the nails were put in place.

The glue was flowing, the frames were made, and the red yarn was wound and tied around the newly placed nails and project was complete!

The center aisle of the West Roxbury, Ma. Home Depot was filled with workshop attendees young and old. I could feel the love in the air, not just because it was heart themed project, love was evident in every corner of that wide carpet aisle.

Moms, dads, sisters and brothers along with grandparent, friends, aunts and uncles all took part in getting the little project craft masters to their destination. Giving time, and spending time together is one of the greatest forms of love and devotion.

The first Saturday of every month, in every Home Depot store across this great country from 9am-12pm, The Home Depot hosts Kids Workshops, it takes time and dedication to get the kids to the workshop every month. There are kids that have aprons filled with pins from each project that they completedyears of pins, proof of devotion and it is evident that someone totally loves them by getting them there for every workshop... I believe the grown-ups love the workshop as much as the kids do!

Feel the love.... stop by your local Home Depot the first Saturday of the month. Take a tiny hand in yours and find the time to get them there, soon enough the tiny hand will be big, there is no time like the present....and no present greater than time!

Happy Valentine's Day,

Maureen
