25 Plants and Trees With Great Fall Color

Fall has arrived and here in Georgia, the incredible fall foliage has not disappointed! Many people have made that drive to Helen and other parts of North Georgia to see the changing of the leaves. I did not make it there, yet living in the suburbs of Atlanta, you can see the native Red Maples, Sugar Maples, Black Tupelo, Sassafras, Sweetgum and Sumac will be practically on fire, displaying the official arrival of fall with their amazing Red, Purple,  yellow, gold and Orange colors. These are just a few of the plants that create a beautiful watercolor-like fall landscape display.


Today, so many of these trees and plants with brilliant fall colors have become incorporated into landscapes everywhere. Some have grown there natively, having put on an amazing fall color show for passers by for decades. Let’s talk about some of the most impressive trees that you will be seeing if you are driving through Georgia in October and November.
