A Clean New Year

New Year, new beginning, getting things straight and organized seemed to be on the minds of Home Depot shoppers on New Year’s Day at the West Roxbury, Ma. Home Depot, where I work.  Customers were piling storage containers and boxes into their carriages with plans of taking down Christmas decorations and boxing up clothing and household items for donations…out with the old, in with the new!

Right now is the perfect time to stop by your Home Depot, pick up a few storage containers, and get the New Year off to a neat and organized start.

I also noticed a flurry of activity in the cleaning aisle, this was not just a clean up after the holidays kind of activity I saw customers stopped in the aisle reading labels and comparing cleaning solutions as if the spray bottle was a vintage aged bottle of wine, seriously scrutinizing the labels.

I asked a couple that were passing cleaning products back and forth to each other for one another to read labels if they needed any help….. “What do you recommend to sanitize a bathroom and bedroom after a weekend of total sickness; a virus has hit our house”? I led the couple right over to the Odoban line of products.

Odoban kills germs, kills odors, cleans hard surface and soft, this stuff is amazing just read the product overview:

Every household should have a bottle of Odoban, whether a concentrate jug or a ready to use spray bottle…. just in case of emergency clean ups, or for everyday use during cold and flu season, Odoban is a must!

Start the year fresh and new; stop by your local Home Depot check out all the cleaners and disinfectants, laundry detergents, floor cleaners and polishers, also glass and metal cleaners. The Home Depot cleaning aisle is stocked with products for every cleaning project and for simple, every day, housekeeping chores.

While you in the cleaning aisle check out the paper towels and cleaning clothes for all the projects that you need to tackle.

Stay a step ahead of the flu season; keep surfaces clean and disinfected, wash linens and towels frequently. Drink plenty of water; a slice of lemon in the water will only help. Make a pitcher of lemon water to keep in the fridge. Take your vitamins. Wash your hands multiple times during the day and wash your hands once you arrive home.

Like the old saying goes: “Wash your hands and say your prayers God and germs are everywhere”!

A happy, healthy New Year to all,

Maureen
