Good Job!! This looks great!

How did you "cut" the wheels? Hole saw?

Hello George,

I actually cut those on my bandsaw. It's a homemade thing that I made that has a pin sticking up. I insert my blank wheel onto the pin then spin my blank to cut a nice circle. Then some light sanding. Good luck on yours. I found the fenders are the hardest to make as they glue to the side and top (next to the hood)

Also George, using my bandsaw, I was able to rip the 1/4" thickness of the yardsticks down to thinner stock. Good luck again......Myron ComptonMar2013 025.jpg

Great job Myron!!!

Wow that is VERY cool.

It looks like the 10 small pieces that make up the headlights would have been a challenge to glue up..

I love the attention to detail that you did. Such as the front and back of the headlights are all centers on a number and all of the stake bed rails are the same.

As a woodworker myself I love projects like this. Seeing one just makes me want to leave work and go play in my shop so I can make one of my own. It would proudly be displayed on the shelf in my office next to the other cars that I've made.

Thank you so very much for sharing your awesome Home Depot truck. I'm sure it will inspire many other as it has me to try and create their own truck.
