Built in Dishwasher Removal

Hello!
I want to take out the dishwasher but I am not going to replace it immediately. How do I plug  the drain hose connection and where the water goes from the line in to the dishwasher? Thank you.

Hello gmanaja and welcome to the Community.

To plug the drain you can put a pipe cap.

If you don't already have one in place you can install a shut-off valve on the supply lines that would go to the dishwasher.

Thank you for your inquiry.

Hello gmanaja and welcome to the Community!

You can remove the drain hose where it connects with your sink drain and put a cap on it, you can find the cap at your Home Depot. Also, as long as you have water shut off valves decicated for the dishwasher, you can shut off the water valve and remove the hose leading to the dishwasher, no water should come out, if it does leak a little, you can get a cap to cover where the old supply line used to be, get the cap at your nearest Home Depot.
