Can green be made... greener?

I bought a gallon of Bali Bamboo eggshell paint, and although it matches the swatch perfectly, once it's actually on the walls it is WAY too yellow. I'm hoping for something a little more neon-lime green. Would it be possible to have it re-tinted with a touch of blue to get it greener instead of such a mossy yellow color? I know it would likely darken it a little, which is ok, but I'm just so sad that the color looks so different after application :(

Hello GeminisDracaris and welcome to the Community.

If you took it back to the store and asked the paint specialist if they could add more tint, they may give it a try.  BUT their is no guarantee it will turn out to be the color you wanted.

Your best course of action is to choose a color that is closer to what you might want and buy an 8oz. sample.  Take it home and try it out, before you commit to a larger volume container.

Thanks for your inquiry.

Your paint can certainly be alterred to some extent. I can well believe that it is too yellow, as there are 11 ounces of bright yellow in the formula and very little green! There is the possibiitiy of adding several more ounces to the gallon of paint you have. However, we might not be able to get to where you want to go.

According to Home Depot's stated paint return policy, "We will make it right by correcting your paint or by giving you a  comparable gallon of paint". One way or the other, you are covered.
