Chicken coop project

As a general rule, you will want to allow about 4 square feet of space per chicken in your chicken coop.  That works out to be 2 ft. x 2 ft. per chicken.  Keep in mind that you can have different levels in your chicken coop which will allow you to keep more chickens.  You will need to move around inside the chicken coop so that you will be able to collect the eggs. Be sure to allow for interior movement if you are planning a walk-in type of chicken coop.


Having a longer chicken coop rather than a high one might work out better when it comes to collection the eggs each morning.  We have a How to Video available if you want to build your own chicken coop and we also have ones already built that can be purchsed online.
