Contradictory recommendations

Am finishing off a dry basement in our middle unit condo.  I would put up wood studs and wood paneling. We have poured concrete walls and a walkout basement. Consequently only the front wall is exposed to earth. The two sides border neighbors basements and the back is stick built. Again it is a dry basement however I am concerned, some say waterproof paint all concrete first yet others say no as long as it's dry, as well it needs to "breath".

Hi LCZ1951,

Concrete does not need to breathe, use waterproofer on all the concrete areas, this will help prevent water infiltration in the future.
