February- Interior Paint Workshop

Join us every Saturday in February from 10am-11am

For our Interior Paint Workshop

In this workshop you will learn how to:

  • Select tools and supplies to help you prepare to paint interior ceilings and walls
  • Prepare and mask rooms before painting
  • Paint ceilings, walls and trim using brushes and rollers

First thing you want to tackle is the prep work, which is very important, this can’t be stressed enough.  A drop cloth  should be placed down to protect your floor or rugs.  All cracks and nail holes should be filled with Dry Dex spackling using a putty knife.  Sand down the spackling with a fine sand paper by 3M. Walls should be clean of any dust, dirt, grease, or grime.  Clean any residual with a Tsp.

Once your walls are clean with TSP, tape off molding around windows and base board with 2 ½ masking tape.  Use a 2 inch angled brush or edger for painting around the trim and molding. Shurline corner painter is the best tool for those challenging corners.

Additional items suggested:

1. 9 inch roller tray

2. Paint tray liners

3. 9 inch rollers

 4.Extension Pole

 5.Roller handle
