Will this Tile Workshop take place any other day of the week I really want to take part in this workshop
Welcome to the community!
All of our workshops are on a set-time basis, typically on weekends, to ensure our customers will be able to make it.
If you can't make it on that day, I've always said that if you speak to a flooring associate at your local Home Depot, we can assist you with any of the tile install process.
Whenever a customer came in and couldn't attend a workshop, I always listened to their questions and concerns, and then went over the steps they didn't understand at first. Even when I had lots of participants for the workshop, each person had different questions that I would address individually. Same with coming in our store and chatting with us on the tile aisle. We'll have the know-how and how-to even if you come in on a day that the workshop isn't being held.
Luckily for you, this is the customer service we provide day-in, day-out. All of the tools and materials we use for the workshop come right off the tile aisle, so you can see exactly what is being used in the installation.
So again, just let us know at your store if you can't make it, and we can help you understand wall tile installation.
Let us know if you have any further questions,
How do I register for a workshop? Do I show up at the time designated and partricipate?
Welcome to the community!
All you have to do for any of our workshops is just show up at or a little earlier than the designated time for participation. Make sure you know where in the store the workshop is being held is a big plus too.
We hope to see you there!
I took the workshop yesterday at the Brooklyn store on Dekalb Ave. I have been watching DIY shows for some time and figured that I would go see what it was like in person. The associate Aubrey was ever so helpful. He assisted myself and three other ladies on the art of laying tile. Not only did I watch him, but I was able to lay tile and grout myself. He was informative and patient at the same time. With four women throwing rapid fire questions at him, he handled himself like a pro. He had all of the different materials needed for this project with one of the most important facts that was needed. The prices!!! He gave a price and quality comparison for the different items, which was very helpful. I walked away ecstatic, with a feeling like "I can really do this!!!". Thank you Aubrey for teaching another skill. You deserve a raise. You know your craft well.
I had the pleasure of partaking in the bath faucets workshop yesterday at the Brooklyn Dekalb Ave store. The associates name was Wilmont and he was extraordinary. He took the time to allow me to ask as many questions as I needed. I feel confident enough to change both a kitchens and bathroom faucet. He showed me many different materials, which would allow for multiple possibilities. The best part of the workshop was the ability to get hands on with the materials and have an experienced person to guide me in the right direction. For Every piece that was needed, Wilmont had examples to show me. I left with the confidence to now do this at home. Thank you for your patience.
Welcome to the community!
And thank you for sharing your great experience from our workshop at your store!
I'm glad that you know have the power of know-how and the confidence to do whatever faucet repair or replacement....that is what our workshops are all about!
Hopefully we'll be seeing you at our other workshops as well throughout the year, and you'll be empowered to tackle even more project in and outside your home!
Have a great day!
I went to my Home Depot this previous Sunday in Naperville, IL for the 1pm tile class. I got there at 1245pm and was told the class would start at 1pm. By 115pm, the class had not started yet and I finally found someone to help. They said they were busy and would start the class when “they got to it.”
Luckily there is a lowe’s across the street, so I went there to pick up some items and I won’t be back to home depot anytime soon.
I'd like to comment on the tile workshop I attended at the Oakland store #1007 on 8/11/2012. The Tile Specialist,Tony, was very much an expert in this field. He was very courteous and patient with us beginners. If we didn't quite understand any of the procedures,he would willingly walk us through the step process no matter how far back we might of had to go.This was my first experience with the workshops that Home depot has to offer. I have to say that I will attend any and every home improvement type of workshop so a professional can explain it to me the correct way. I would rather attend a workshop than ask one of my friends to assist me or show me how to do something that involves home improvements. With professionals like Tony, you will enjoy your class as well as learning knowledge in that field of home improvement.Keep up the excellent work Home depot and keep having specialist like Tony to instruct the class to make this experience a pleasurable one.
