Finding the right paint color

I'm looking to fix some chipped paint spots in my house and I'm hoping that Home Depot can match the paint color. It's an older paint, and fortunately I still have an empty gallon can of it with the colorant details. Is it as easy as walking into a store, showing them the colorant details, and having them mix it for me? The colorant details are attached. Thanks!

Hi TheEldar,

Unfortunately no, paint formulas change as manufacturers change paint base composition to meet new or changing environmental regulations. Even if we could duplicate your color it would not match your wall as the paint has aged and faded with time. The best bet is to take a sample of the current paint to the store. The paint department associates can perform a computer color match and get you much closer the the existing color than the old code will.

The bottom line is, it is going to be easier just to repaint the wall than trying to match the paint in it's current condition.
