Fridge Install - Shut Off Valve more than 6 feet Away
We're planning on buying a new refrigerator from Home Depot and want it installed. Unfortunately, the shut off for the water line is in the basement and more than 6 feet away. Can the installers put in a shut off within 6 feet? If not, what's the best way to proceed?

HI Jack0603,

Our delivery teams do not perform any modifications to your plumbing, they are not plumbers and for liability reasons are not allowed to do plumbing work. Your best bet is to call a licensed plumber to move the water connection closer to the refrigerator area. Locating it directly behind the refrigerator is the best spot.
