Hampton Bay AC 552AL ceiling fan lights

The lower light bulbs burnt out and when I tried to screw them out, the bulbs separated from the threaded portion. Now the remote won't turn the lower lights off, the fan and upper lights are still working with the remote controller, but not the lower 3 lights, and I can't unthread the part that threads into the light socket.  Any suggestions?

Hey AKJPenn,

Thanks for your question and welcome to the community.

It may be easier for you to replace the light kit versus trying to repair them, from what you are telling us.

That or the transmitter (remote) or receiver is broken, since it can do some but not all functions.

In either case, I would recommend you to first call Hampton Bay with the number shown below in the image. Contact them first for further troubleshooting tips, and make sure to have your model number handy so they can get you exact the right help for your specific ceiling fan.
