Hang vinyl lattice vertical or horizontal?

I think I read somewhere "not to" hang vinyl lattice horizontal.  Excuse my ignorance, but does that mean for example, if my side of deck is 16' W and a 4' L , I can't hang the 2 panels horizontally I.e. No Cuts, instead I should cut the 2 sheets in half, thus having 4 panels to hang.

I hope that made sense...

Is the reason due to the weight?

Hello Time4Tini, and welcome to the Community!

You may hang vinyl lattice any way you like provided you use enough anchors to hold it. I have never heard vertical vs horizontal only.

Thanks for the response man!  I searched all over AGAIN, it was a DIY video posted on YouTube.  Anyway I couldn't find it, AND glad to hear it's not a true statement.  Now to re-think my material layout.

You have to be a little careful with YouTube.  As the man said, the great thing about the Internet is everyone gets to use it, the bad thing about the Internet is that everyone gets to use it.
