Hello Szq50, and welcome to the community!

Congratulations on your purchase of the grill, soon you will be cooking up a feast! The Temp Gage should have also come with a nut for you to attach it. You place the Temp Gage on outside surface of the lid just above the DynaGlo badge and use a wrench to tighten the nut.

If you cannot find the nut, you can contact the manufacture at 1-877-447-4768 and tell them which model you have.

If you need any further assistance, please let me know.

I spoke with Gustavo in Customer Service, he said that there is no wire to attach to the Temp Gage. There should be a wire that attaches to the electronic ignitor, if you already have it connected, then this maybe an extra wire added to the box by mistake.

You know, now that I look at the wire attached to the needle of the gage, it does look defective. The wire is coming out From the center of the stem of the gage, right where it goes into the gage...but the stem is not attached to the gage.? Does that make sense?
