Questions about fridge delivery

We have a fridge set to be delivered this week and I had two quick questions.

First, will the delivery crew remove the handles and/or doors of the fridge in order to get it inside?

Second, we're also having an old fridge hauled away. Does it need to be unplugged for a certain amount of time prior to being picked up?

Thanks!

Hi Ali89,

The handles are shipped inside the refrigerator to avoid damage during shipment and are installed after the refrigerator is inside the house. If the doors require removal this will be performed, however, in most cases this is not necessary. Unplugging the old refrigerator prior to removal is not necessary. Remember the new refrigerator will take 3-6 hours to reach the proper temperature, so place your frozen items in a cooler with ice to preserve them.
