Tips for Creating a Winning NeverWet Submission

We've received a lot of ideas for using NeverWet throughout your homes. Thank you to all who have posted thus far. We've extended the contest deadline to July 31, 2013 in order to give everyone enough time to craft a quality submission.

A general reminder: Safety always comes first. Read the manufacturer guidelines before beginning any project.

Now the fun stuff … what makes for a winning NeverWet submission? Our editors are seeking quality visual assets to share on Pinterest. We can pin either jpegs or YouTube videos.

Here are some quick suggestions for maximizing your contest entry:

1. Show us NeverWet in action - with liquids beading off the treated surface.

2. Remember to show the can!

3. Consider before and afters … how did an untreated shoe fare? What about a treated shoe?

4. Safety. First.

Here's a video that our team created to give you a sense for the potential.

Can we win without a picture or video?  I don't have my cans yet!

We want to share ideas for NeverWet on our Pinterest boards. We can only pin jpegs and YouTube videos. Since we can't pin a text-only idea, our team of editors is unlikely to consider these submissions for the final prizes.

The good news is that we've extended the contest deadline to July 31, 2013. That's over a month away, so plenty of time for shutterbugs to create a submission.

Thanks for the reply. If two people have the same video/picture do they both win?  I imagine this will happen quite a bit.

Will the winner then be decided by the time of the submission or the quality/appeal of the video and/or image?

We will not knowingly award a prize to someone who has violated copyright law, plagiarized from other contestants, or otherwise tried to "game" the system with an illicit entry. In the event that we experience any kind of dispute about the ownership of an asset, our legal department will make recommendations.

In plainer English: please submit a real photo or video that you have created. And that video or photo should feature a real use of NeverWet.
