Trial Plants

Consumers are wanting more bee and pollinator friendly plants - do Proven Winners and Costa Farms use GMO plants?  I am opposed to using neonicotinoids and other chemicals that put pollinators at risk, even if there is "mixed science" regarding this issue.  Plants should also be clearly labeled.

Thanks,
Anita Hartmann

Hello AnitaHartmann.  Welcome to the Community!

Any live goods that have had neonicotinoids applied will be clearly labeled with a sticker on the pot.  You will not see many of them though, as all annuals, perennials and shrubs will be neonicotinoid free.  Only in some cases of indoor tropical plants that you might find in our greenhouse area could there still be some treated plants.  These will be clearly labeled.

Chris.
