Hello jeffdebb and welcome to the Community.

Most PORCELAIN TILE can be used in an un-conditioned space that will experience extreme temperatures but not be exposed to the elements.  Below are a few examples of porcelain tiles.

Being from the Midwest myself, I know that the winters in NE Ohio, experiences sub-zero temperatures quite often.

Although LifeProof flooring is a very good product in many cases, it is NOT Recommended for un-conditioned areas.  The information below is taken directly from the manufacturers Installation instructions.

The installation of lifeproof™ does not require acclimation. However, we recommend installation in rooms with temperature between 50°F & 100°F (10°C & 38°C). The HVAC system must be on and functional before, during, and after installation.

Here is a link to the complete Installation Instructions.

Thank you for your inquiry.
