Wobbly Kohler Shower handle (since temp control)

I have a Kohler shower fixture and the single control handle is wobbly. It is still very much attached. I added a set screw underneath the handle because it was missing and this did not help. Since the handle is almost a "T" construction of all brushed aluminum, I can't even figure out how to remove the handle to check the connection on the value. I think the handle comes apart to expose a screw but the "T" handle seems very tight and I don't want to break it.

Hello SanDiego1262, and welcome to the community!

To better help you I would need either the model number of the fixture OR pictures of the faucet handle, then I might be able to help you stop the wobbly handle.

Hi Angelo, thank you for the response. I don't know the name of the fixture; I looked everywhere online and couldn't 100% verify. Here is a  photo...sorry about the scale. Not  sure if the whole pic will post. Let's see!

Hello again SanDiego1262, thank you for posting the picture. I managed to find your model, it's the Kohler Purist series K-T14420.

Looking at your picture there seems to be an opening (circled in red) where some screws would be revealed once you turn the handle, from what can tell in the 2nd picture, there are two set screws that can be removed with a a hex wrench, there were 2 wrenches supplied with this faucet 3/32 and 1/16 hex wrench, not sure which you would use.

I did give links below the pictures to the Installation Guide, replacement parts, and the Temperature Limiting Adjustment feature. The first link, Valve Trim and Handle Interactive Diagram give you part numbers for the entire faucet. You may want to call Kohler at 1-800-456-4537 to order parts or customer service.

Thank you for all the info! I was able to find one of the two set screws. At first it seemed the screw fell out. When I put a hex wrench up there, I felt it catch; could not see because the hole was on the underside. I turned the hex counter clockwise and the handle came off! Success. So I put it back on, turned clockwise and it locked down. Done and dusted! Never did find the second set screw but it is now very stable! Thank you for your help.
