no more flower bed

I asked this question last week but it is lost somewhere.   but i want to get rid of my flowerbeds around the foundation of my house and just do flowerpots.  but is filling them in with cement better than just doing pavers and which one is cheapest to do?

Hi Kwkette,

I would use pavers, they are easy to lay and a lot less work than cement. In addition if you decide to change the pattern, the layout or remove them all together, it's a lot easier than trying to remove cement. Cement costs less to buy but renting or buying a mixer, finishing tools, etc. and all the work involved makes the pavers a lot more attractive option.

Hi Mekette.

Thank you for your question.

As Mike said, pavers would be less expensive and   will make it easier to change your mind later on if you choose.

One addition which should not be overlooked is Weed Mat.  This needs to be installed before pavers or gravel is put it.

The weed mat along with the use of a pre-emergence such as Preen will help to keep the weed seeds at bay.

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
