A bench

Hello Home Depot.

I was wondering, are there certain kits that I could use to build a bench?  And what does it take to engrave a name into wood?

Greetings,

My name is Tom, known here in the community as HD116. As an avid woodworker from a very young age, I have come to know a few companies that are quite valuable to woodworkers and hobbyists. Of course one is the Home Depot! Another is Rockler Woodworking and Hardware. Rockler caters to woodworkers of all experience levels and is a tremendous resource that offers specialty tools and hardware, hard to find woods and supplies, and books and plans.

Like our site here, they have an area dedicated to sharing information about getting started in woodworking, building a shop, various projects, as well as techniques and applications that are very useful. When I saw your post, I did a simple search and one of the books they offer appears to be exactly what you are looking for. Follow this link to see an overview and access the site.
