Annuals are wilting after repotting!

I recently bought some annuals and transferred them into different pots. When I bought them, they were beautiful and healthy. I repotted them, and the next day, I went outside and they were wilted and very droopy. I packed them in a little more soil and watered them a bit more. I also put them in direct sunlight. Was this a good idea? is there anything else i should do?

Hi MeliMonu.

With the very hot weather we just had here in SoCal, your plants may be suffering from Transplant Shock and/or heat stress.  Your best action would be to keep the plants watered well and in the shade for a day.  Sometimes when plants are taken out of the pots from the store, the root system is disturbed during the planting process.

Along with the very hot weather we just had & the transplanting, the plant may be suffering a little bit, but it should recover in 24 hrs.  This week is forecast to be cooler which should be better for your plants.

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
