Anyway to fix / touchup a spot on venetian plaster

Hi,

somehow I have a couple water stains on wall of a half-bath that is covered in Behr Venetian plaster.   I have several areas about 2-3 inches in diameter that look darker than sorrounding areas.  Is there a way to reblend this in ?

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Chris:smileyhappy:

There are two possible solutions to your dilemma:

The best way to fix this is with the original product (if it's available). Simply apply a thin coat over the top of the area and let it dry.  You will have to first prime the water stained areas with an oil based primer/sealer like Kilz.

The other way is an easy solution, but will change the whole look of the wall. After priming the effected spots - simply paint over the texture with any color.  Use eggshell or satin finish.  If you want to add that aged look to the walls - simply rub the texture with a wood stain and wipe off.  Seal the final product with water based polyurethane to protect it from moisture.
