Ballet Barre Project

Hello I have a problem hope you can find an answer. I have installed a ballet barre on drywall which doesn't have any studs behind to really support the bar. I have tried support screws which hold 45lbs and has failed. Any thing else you can recommend to really support the bar from ripping out?

Hi Inuenz,

The drywall has to have some supports somewhere or it would collapse. Try finding the supports as this is the only real solution to the problem.

Short of that try using a new anchor we sell at The Home Depot.

It’s called the Wingits Grab Bar Fastener, and it’s rated for up to 600 pounds of force and will work in drywall without attaching it to a stud.

I have included a link below.
