Hi Petite joe.

Yes, your Blue Magic Iris should do well in your area.  This plant is cold hardy in zones 6-9 and heat hardy in zones 1-9.  The Blue Magic Iris requires a well-drained but damp soil with full sun, although this iris will tolerate some afternoon shade.

Use a combination of different iris bulbs for a great spread of color.

Plant your iris in mid to late winter as flowering will occur in late spring to early summer for about 2-3 weeks. Do not skimp on bulbs when you are planting them as it will take at least 20 bulbs to achieve a good looking bed of Blue Magic Iris.

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
