This plant grows incredibly large, incredibly quickly. Do no plant in a small area and do not plant in front of the house. It also gets loaded with butterflies and bees, therefore don’t plant too close to a sitting area if you can’t handle bees. This plant makes a great backdrop for a perennial garden. There are not many bushes that will get you the butterflies that this one will.

This plant requires a lot of pruning and maintenance. There are now some new dwarf varieties out that will be much more manageable.
