Can we put on a third coat of rustoleum?

If yes, how long do we need to wait to put on the third coat?

Welcome to our community Chriskk!

Thank you for your question! Exactly which Rust-Oleum product are you using? There are many Rust-Oleum products and some of them can be coated 3 times, but they all vary in terms of drying time. Please let us know which product it is that you are working with and we can assist you further.

For wood floors as shown in the wood transfomations video.

Hello Chriskk!

You can apply a 3rd coat of the clean coat as long as you will have enough to cover the entire area. Wait 30 minutes (or until it is dry to the touch) to apply the 3rd coat.

Good luck with your project!

We used painter's tape along the narrow floor molding and in certain areas either we applied too much finish or the tape was slightly on the floor.  Any suggestions for small spots where the finish coat lifted?

For those areas where the top coat lifted, use a small, 4" roller or a small foam brush. :smileyhappy:
