Can you color match to a lighter shade

I am planning on painting an accent wall in my new place, and want it to be the same shade of pink that my bedroom furniture is painted in but a lighter shade as I don't want the wall to be as bright. Can I bring a sample of the paint I have in to color match but make it less bright?

Hello cpfifer,

Thanks for your question and welcome to the community.

If you do bring in a large enough sample from the paint can or a wall, our paint department associates can reduce the formula in a manner which is light enough for you.

My advice would be to buy the small sample sizes and try them out yourself on the accent wall. Do this in various lighting schemes, like during the day in full and low light, as well as the night time.

Make sure you also compare the original sample to the reduced color formula as well before you purchase, so you can stand a better chance of obtaining the perfect new paint.

Let us know if you have any further questions,

Joseph
