Cap-a-tread on 5 sided star

I want to install cap-a-tread on these stairs. My questions are Will it work? Will it last? Suggestions on miter cuts?

Thanks for the photo flyboy2784!

The dimensions of the steps will determine if Cap-A-Tread will cover.

This particular example is twelve and one-eighth inch deep.

The unusual angles may present a small challenge, but certainly could be overcome with care in both measuring and cutting.

Dry-fit every piece to ensure tight joints before gluing down.

NOTE:
Once the carpet is removed, you'll likely find pine treads.

You may find that hardwood treads are more durable, easier to piece together, and easier to match the floor color with stain.

Ask your local Flooring Associate for assistance pricing these options.
