Capacitor replacement for ceiling fan

I have a Hampton Bay model AC-552AL SKU754-332 UPC#718212045817 ceiling fan and the capacitor needs replacement.  This capacitor is soldered in the electronics board.  Can you buy a replacement capacitor or is there another option to replace the capacitor?

Hello enfotrax.

Ceiling fan capacitors regulate fan speed.  If you have one, (or more) speeds drop out, then a bad capacitor is a likely culprit.  It is important to get the same replacement as the original, as the capacitance values of this part must match the original design.  You can find motor capacitors on-line, but care must be taken to match values.  Often these caps are dual cap parts.  Going through our Hampton Bay service team at 1=877-527-0313 is your best bet.
