Carport roof help

What materials do I need to do, what I would describe as, a sealed tar paper roof for a carport that will basically be flat-only enough pitch to insure runoff?

Hello Yza and welcome to the Community.

Owen Corning makes a 36 in. x 36 ft. Desert Tan Mineral Surface Low-Slope Roll Roofing that can be applied to a roof that has a slope as low as 1” per foot.

They recommend applying a layer of  #15 asphalt saturated felt as an underlayment.

It should be nailed down using a large head corrosion-resistant nails, 11or 12-gauge, with heads at least 3/8”in diameter. Nails should be long enough to penetrate into wood deck at least ¾", or completely through plywood deck or OSB a minimum 1/8”

Where the layers overlap a roofing cement, like the Henry roll roofing adhesive, should be applied.

Thanks for your inquiry.
