Ceiling Fan Blades

I recently purhcased a Hampton Bay Farmington 52" ceiling fan.  I am unhappy with the color of the blades.  On the box and on-line the woodgrain looks much darker than the real deal.    The box says Mahogany/Maple.  The real deal is the lightest blonde I have ever seen.

I have looked on-line to find a possible replacement for blades and found nothing with the same 4-hole snap in type blade.  The nearest I can find would be one I have to drill the holes.

I could be over simplifying my perspective on this but just like paint shade if off even a light shade would not work if you were trying to color match, the color of these blades vs pic on box and what is shown on-line is not even close.

P_ss' me off.

You could paint the blades to match a specific color.

Good morning and thanks for stopping by the community.

Sorry to hear about your dilemma...

If you haven't already installed the fan - try returning the kit for one that matches your needs.

If returning is not an option, then you can apply a coat of Polyshades over the surface of the blades.  This will allow you to still see any wood grain texture on the blades.

I hope this helps.
