Ceiling fan problem

I have a Hampton Bay ceiling fan that is 11 years old and has stopped working in the "high" position. The light also works and remote lights up at all of the settings. I used a remote from another Hampton Bay fan with the same dip switch settings and the results are the same. This tells me that the receiver must be defective, yes?

Hi Zook, welcome and thanks for joining the community. Sorry your fan is not working in the high speed position. You will need some information in order to get you some help right away.

You need the UPC code that is located on a sticker on top of the motor housing. You need this as there are several manufactures of Hampton Bay ceiling fans. Once you have the UPC code you can place a call to Hampton Bay customer service team. Here is the phone number.
