Christmas in July:

Christmas in July:

It is a hard thing to do, to wrap your head around the Christmas holidays in the heat of the summer, but for many people the thought of Christmas is a year round process.

Hours of holiday enjoyment are best spent when you have prepared things well in advance.

I believe the term ‘Christmas in July’ had to have been named by someone in the retail world, or by a mother who was trying to entertain her kids on the long, hot, summer days.

However the concepts of ‘Christmas in July’ came to be, it suddenly makes sense to me, using the lazy days of summer to get ready for the fast paced days of the holidays: is brilliant!

Summer days are perfect for bringing, and creating, holiday crafts outside; more room to spread out….creativity knows no limit; also the air outside is great for drying, and why not spend as much time as possible in the rays of the glorious days of summer!

Check out this easy holiday wreath, and holiday door mat project, they are a great way to fill a summer afternoon with holiday spirit; wonderful for kids to get their creative juice flowing, and their energy focused.

Who knows you may be inspired to make a few snow cones!

Use the warm, summer breezes, and the hours of the endless summer days to allow many more free hours during the holiday season….may peace and joy, fill your days of summer!     Enjoy, Maureen
