Circular saw blades

Can I use a 7" inch masonry blade on a 7 1/4 " circular saw?

Yes.  Generally you can almost always use a smaller blade.

Hi jacree,


Thank you for your question and welcome to our community.  As long as you will not need that ¼ inch of penetration into the concrete, you should be able to use the 7 inch blade in your 7 ¼ inch circular saw.  As a general rule, you can usually go down in size but you cannot go up in size due to the space restriction in the housing of your circulars saw. 



Be sure that you are getting a masonry saw blade that will fit the style of circular saw that you have.  Different models have different attachment modes.  Be sure to check with your local Home Depot Hardware Associate when making your purchase.  If possible, bring your saw in to be sure you get the correct blade.  You might want to get a diamond blade if you are doing more than one masonry cut.  You can more effectively use water with the blade to help reduce dust.

how do I install blade on circular sathe  mw (Roybi) 18 volt. Do both washers go on outside of blade or the magnet washer on inside of blade?
