How do I cut a wooden board in arc shape? Does Home Depot help in cutting a wooden board in arc shape?

Hey Tulika,

Thanks for your question and welcome to the community!

If the wooden board you want to cut isn't thicker than 3/4", you can cut it using a jigsaw. Most Home Depot's that have a Tool Rental Center carry them for rent, but call your local store first to verify.

A jigsaw and a steady hand is really one of the easiest ways to cut into wood sheets. I did a project for Halloween last year for a fake blood puddle made of plywood, shown below. If I can cut this shape out, I know you can cut a simple arc....or anyone can for that matter!

Easy Pick Up!

Simply mark the arc to determine where it will be cut. Make sure you have the proper wood-cutting blade and that you are working safely with eye protection. Once you do this, you can easily get the arc cut once and for all.

We typically don't assist in cutting curves since the tools we use only do straight cuts. However, we can go over how to use the jigsaw and/or other materials to ensure you get the job done right.

Let me know if you have any further questions,
