DIY Monogram Seasonal Wreath

It has become a seasonal tradition to create a wreath with my office mates at the Home Depot, Northeast, Store Support Center. We all gather together for a small window of time to piece together bits and pieces of seasonal gems that will look attractive on an ornamental circle to hang on a front door, wall, gate, or hung anywhere that a seasonal greeting will be enjoyed.

Heaps of dried and silk flowers, along with accent twigs and grasses, and numerous spools of simply beautiful ribbons and twine are lined up for selection. A basic grape vine wreath is waiting to be adorned by creative hands to construct a one of a kind seasonal masterpiece.

Glue guns, wire, scissors, craft paints, paint brushes, and wire cutters are the only tools need for this workshop, the most important thing to have on hand for the class is imagination! Once things get going everyone feeds off each other, one person being inspired by the next, and so on, ideas start to fly, conversation starts and glue guns are firing up, gluing and  gooping away!

The monogram letters get painted, ribbons get twisted and fashioned into incredible, generous bows, everything is hand wired and glued in place. The wreaths are encircled with creative ideas, and original concepts that are held in place with glue and wire, but the designs are really joined together by team work!

Every once and a while, bringing everyone together to be creative and allow ideas and conversation to flow produces a connection and unifies the participates, with an outcome and sense of accomplishment to be proud of.

Just as the symbol of the wreath represents: unity, with no beginning and no end…. conducting a wreath workshop joins workmates together making a support system that is seamless, with no beginning....no end, real teamwork, with a beautiful, seasonal outcome!

Create a wreath with friends, family, and workmates, the benefits are never-ending!
