Which router & bit will work better to cut grooves in deck boards?

Just curious as to why you want to route grooves in decking lumber? The back side of decking lumber already has grooves to lessen the risk of cupping . It you are trying to make grooves in regular lumber which is to be used as decking, several shallow passes through the table saw would work better than a router.
