Do the Ryobi tool-less corded jig saws (4.8 and 6.1amps) work with u shank blades?

Hello, I am looking to buy a new jig saw for basic diy and I have both of these in mind.

None of them mention anything about being compatible with u-shank blades.

This is the only info I was able to get.

1. From the Ryobi 4.8 JS481L Reviews

"I especially like the easy to use blade change system which accepts both bayonet and "U" shaped blades. Another nice feature is the separate variable speed dial which you set and then the trigger just turns it on and off.

Pros: Easy to UseGood Size & Weight

According to the manual the JS481L only takes T shank blades.

I think you're going to need to keep looking.  I'm not sure that universal blades are compatible with quick change blade systems.

Well, Im still looking...

Neither take u shank blades, the Ryobi JS480L which is almost identical to the JS481L takes u shank blades, but they dont sell it at my local store.

In my local store the one on display was the JS480L but all of the boxes were JS481L which only take T shank, I bought one anyways, took it home (forgot to take a blade to the store), and it fit my t shank blades just fine but not the u shank blades.

And for the price range I'm looking at HD has nothing else that fits u shank blades and is corded.

btw. There are a lot of keyless systems that fit both t and u shank blades, just not here in the HD.
