Door hinge/pin removal

I have a dead bolt that seems frozen in place and can't unlock the door.  How do I remove the pins of the door hinges so I can hopefully pull the door away from the dead bolt and replace the lock?

You can usually drive the pins out from the bottom using a pin punch, nail, or screwdriver.  The other option is to use a small chisel or screwdriver and drive it in between the bottom of the pin and top of the pin.  Then work the pin up as the gap opens.  Understand that some hinges are designed, for security,  NOT to come apart unless the door is open.

What's wrong with the lock?  Does the key turn the cylinder?
