Hi Dashecky,

None of our regular exterior doors are "Storm Proof", you will need to purchase and install a "Storm Door" to achieve the weather proofing you are looking for. The storm door is installed outside of the regular entry door.

Hello Dashecky, and welcome to the Community!

I work for the Home Depot in the Doors & Windows dept in the Chicago area and from time to time some customers request a hurricane rated door, not so much for the weather aspects, but to get the security of laminated glass, to prevent a break in.

As Mike mentioned you can add a Andersen 4000 series fullview storm door with laminated safety glass, see video here >>https://youtu.be/6wFgH6sDZnU but the exterior "main" door would also need to be changed in order to achieve a wind storm or "Miami-Dade County" rating. Check with your local Home Depot and ask for impact rated entry doors.
