Fan will not work after replacing capacitor

I have a new hampton bay sprigview ceiling fan that will not work after I replace the capacitor.  The UPC is 718212149225.  The fan ran for about 2 minutes and stops after I replaced the capacitor.  Could it be the speed switch that needs to be replaced?

HI stjunko and thanks for your question.  There is all kinds of things that could be wrong with your fan.  The reversing switch, the speed control switch, the mutiprong connector,  a wire loose at the ceiling and the motor is bad.  You stated that it is a new fan.  How new?  Does the motor spin freely?  Does the light work?  You can get tech support at 1-877-527-0313.  I hope this helps.  Stukas
