Flooring for unheated enclosed patio

Just built an enclosed patio on concrete slab.  What is suggestion for flooring in an unheated enclosed area that can withstand temperature changes down to below freezing without cracking?

Hey yperkins10,

Thanks for joining us here on the community.

Since it isn't a climate controlled room, you'll need a flooring that can withstand those temperature changes....but fortunately you aren't limited in choices.

If you are looking for something that won't 'crack', that would be any exterior grade options of tile and carpet. Specifically in tiles, porcelain and natural stone can and will withstand freezing temperatures.

Indoor/Outdoor rated carpet is another effective choice. You can actually get it in options that don't look like the bright green 'Astroturf' but rather in softer and still effective more natural colors and textures.

DO NOT and NEVER use any vinyl flooring systems we sell at your local Home Depot. While we do carry some choices online that are exterior-rated, nothing found in our stores will be rated to last outside for a long time. Same thing goes for any wood based flooring systems too.

Let us know if you have any further questions,
