GE Fridge not blowing cold air in fridge and freezer

Model Number: gsl25ifrfbs
Brand: GE
Age: 6-10 years

My side-by-side GE fridge hasn't been blowing cold air for a month now. So I asked and they said that the thin water tube for the water dispenser had a hole (behind the fridge) and water burst out. Shortly after, the fridge didn't blow cool air.

I checked the following :

  • The condenser fan was not working, so i replaced it and it is working now. I slightly cleaned the coils next to the fan.
  • I do not hear any clicking noises with the compressor relay. I shook the relay and didn't hear anything moving or shaking inside. I checked the capacitor with a multimeter and it seems fine.
  • The compressor feels only slightly warm after turning it on for an hour. When I turn it on, the compressor is vibrating but kinda quietly I am not sure how loud it needs to sound for it to be considered "running".

Inside the fridge, even when I set it to the coldest setting, it seems to me that the fans are just blowing normal air and not cold air.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Hello ghostman126.  Welcome to the Community!

I think that rather than reinvent troubleshooting guides here, I will refer you to a couple of sites that have some good step-by-step procedures to help you figure this one out.

I hope these links help,

Chris.
