Good vinyl plank flooring for and outside floor

I would like to use a vinyl plank floor to put into my camper. I need something that could withstand extreme cold weather since I live in Syracuse ny.

Hello Egress,

Thanks for your question and welcome to the community.

First off, vinyl plank flooring CANNOT be used for exterior or non-climate controlled applications. In fact, it's really not even recommended for RV/camper usage as it could void the warranty you'd have on it.

Even if you did decide to use it there inside or out, you'd run into serious failure on the planks within a very short amount of time. Vinyl plank flooring, like our Allure Ultra line, must be kept at all times in a climate-controlled indoor space at 55-85 degrees.

My advice would be to get an exterior grade floor for that cold weather. Options like porcelain (frost-free) tiles are a great choice, although they can be cold to the touch.

Let us know if you have any further questions,

Joseph
