How To Painting Tip: Grays are the "New Neutrals"

More and more often, grays are being selected as replacements for tan, beige, and off-white. Not just grays that contain simple variations of black. Many containing hints of warm yellows and reds or cool greens and blues; to build a fresh, new décor.

This classic example from Ralph Lauren Paints combines Mother of Pearl (RL 1017) on the walls with Grey Douglas (RL 1888) on the pantry doors and Black Basalt (RL 1096) on the pole and bar stools.

Monogram (RL 1415) provides a base on the cabinet fronts which are complimented by polished chrome cabinet hinges (foreground) and suspended light in brushed nickel (above).

NOTE: Ralph Lauren Specialty Finishes (examples in gray and silver) recently return to The Home Depot:

Three easy-to-apply specialty finishes in gray or silver ... to help you capture a design statement you can call your own.
