Grinder left marks on natural quarry tiles

My husband tiled our family room with American Olean Natural Quarry tiles. He got some grout on the tiles and was removing it with a wire brush that worked well. He then had to touch up some of the grout, couldn't find the wire brush and used a synthetic brush on a grinder that left almost like a hazy light area on the tile. Is there anyway to fix this?

Hey barbys,

Thanks for your question and welcome to the community.

This is one of those times where its always best practice to test the grinder over a small, inconspicuous area of the tiles.

Since you didn't, you may have to use another grinder pad on it to remove the hazy area. You can also opt for using grout haze remover or sulfamic acid cleaner to see if that can solve the issue.

Both cleaners are available to pick up at your local Home Depot store in the tile aisle at the floor department.

Let us know if you have any further questions,

Joseph
