HOW DO I FLIP THE HINGES ON A PRE-HUNG DOOR

I purchased a pre-hung door and mistakenly ordered it to open the wrong way.  The hinges need to be on the other side.  Is there an easy way to reverse this with only the one side of my door showing the carve out for the hinges?  Hopefully this makes sense to someone who has dealt with this before.

Thanks,

Kyle

Kyle,

It's a lot of work and requires a fair amount of skill.  You'll also need to patch the frame of the door where the hinges were.  If this is natural wood frame (meaning it won't be painted) it will be very difficult to make those patches disappear.  If the door is pre-drilled for locks, you'll also have holes to patch.

It's probably better to return the door and order a new one.
