Hampton Bay Ceiling Fan EF200D - remove the remote control

Is there anyway to disconnect the remote system from this fan and just be able to use the light switch?  Is there a manual that I can get that can help me do that?  Thank you.  Alisha

Hey Alisha,

Thanks for your question and welcome to the community.

Without seeing other parts of your Hampton Bay ceiling fan, I can't personally tell if the remote/receiver  set up for it will work as you want.

If you do combine the wires for the motor and light kit on one wall switch, then it can work to just cut the power off and on, but you most likely won't have control of the fan speed or turning the lights off independently.

In either case, you can start by contacting Hampton Bay directly below for more information.

You'll most likely need a new replacement remote and receiver, so you can get the exact control you need for the Hampton Bay fan.

Let us know if you have any further questions,
